As a mother of a son with disabilities, Joan witnessed the lack of job opportunities for Mark firsthand as he became an adult. This fueled her passion to serve on local boards and collaborate with other nonprofits, envisioning a comprehensive training program and supportive community where Mark and people like him can gain skills to build their own future.
